You know that her original name is Atenea Nike? She lead the spartans to the victory against Persians at the Salamina Battle. Actually she's at the origin of the Nike Sportswear Label, whom symbol is one of her wings in revisited by a designer. Lovely images, but I'd love to read your commentaries, they're pertinent.
I did not know the details about her name per se, but i did know thats where the Nike corporation originated their logo. Its unfortunate she has lost her head, the stone cut to look like sheer, see through fabric dapping over her body is quite beautiful and her face would've been quite exquisite I imagine.
